Best of luck to our Marketing intern Himika Sikri! Though your time with us was short, your hard work and dedication made a significant impact. Thank you for all your efforts! Heres a little insight into Himika's time with us: "Shortly after graduating with my Master’s degree, I got the opportunity to work as a marketing intern at Dutton Automotive. For an aspiring marketer, who also happens to be a car enthusiast, this experience was nothing short of thrilling. During my time with the business, I got the opportunity to try my hand at a variety of tasks which helped me hone both my design and marketing strategy skills. The highlight of my internship would undoubtedly be getting the opportunity to participate in and witness the shooting of a Fujitsu General Australia TVC. Getting to meet Mark Taylor and Essendon Football Club footballers in such an intimate setting was definitely a big fan moment! The experience gave me a newfound appreciation for the amount of effort, planning and attention to detail required to bring such marketing projects to life. One project I managed was creating an updated pullup banner for the office that aligned with the updated Dutton Automotive branding. With a round of feedback and approvals from the overall business and marketing team, the banner effectively displayed the various brands under Dutton Group as well as their key values and visions. Designing this banner helped me better understand the importance of brand consistency and how to align various aspects of the brand identity to achieve that. I also got the chance to showcase my design skills on a range of different company assets, including eDM flyers for Dutton Wholesale, Essendon Sponsorship fan engagement stickers and designing a novelty cheque for the “$50K from 50m” game day event. Despite my limited time at Dutton, I got diverse exposure across multiple business units and marketing challenges. This would not have been possible without Ben Talbot, Marcus George and Chloe Vucinic being the supportive and incredible mentors that they were. I’d also like to give a shoutout to Cam Robertson and Valerie Widjanarko for being amazing interns to collaborate with. Overall, this internship has offered me a great step into the world of marketing and I will be taking everything I have learned to the next chapter of my career".

Best of luck to our UX/UI designer Cam Robertson who has played a pivotal role in the redesign of our multiple brands, enhancing user experiences across the board. Thank you for all your hard working best of luck for the future!! A little insight into Cam’s time at Dutton Automotive: I recently had the opportunity to work at Dutton Automotive as part of the Swinburne University of Technology Professional Internship program. I was tasked with re-designing the Dutton One website utilising my UX/UI undergraduate training. This major project included assessing feedback their site has received, researching best-in-class in the category and designing a ‘solution’ to the problems that were identified in the existing website!! After working on additional feedback from the CTO during the drafting process, I then had to the opportunity to collaborate with the Dutton Labs LK (Sri Lankan-based) development team to turn my design into the end customer-facing website. Whilst I worked on this Dutton One project for most of my internship, I was also tasked with designing additional landing pages and microsites for other businesses within the Dutton Group. I would like to thank everyone in the business who were supportive of my efforts and the Marketing team who were great to work with. Extra thanks to Marcus George, who was a great support to get my major project done and Ben Talbot, who was always pushing me to do my best. A shoutout to the other interns I worked with during the last 3 months Charles McGrath, Katherine Hiew, William Vernandez, Valerie Widjanarko and Himika Sikri, who were all great to collaborate with and provide mutual support during the time they were in the business!!
