Lee MacLeod was born in Los Angeles, California, May 16, 1953.

He spent his childhood in the Pasadena area and attended

Polytechnic School until Ninth grade. His family moved to Rancho

Santa Fe in 1969 and Lee completed high school at La Jolla Country

Day. Lee then attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs

graduating in 1976 with a BEA. He began studying at The Art Center

College of Design in 1977, completed his education in 1980 and began

his art career as an illustrator. Lee combines traditional illustration with

photography and computer graphics.

His film clients have included Amblin, Disney, Lucasfilm, Warner

Brothers, Orion, USA Network, Full Moon Entertainment and Paramount.

His most visible work in that field has been art for Lucasfilm's

"Howard The Duck", Warner's "Batman" campaign and Disney's "Pocahontas".

Lee also works in the book and game markets and lists Avon, Pocket Books,

Doubleday, Nintendo, FCI and SEGA among his clients. While his clients

are primarily in the entertainment and publishing fields, Lee has also worked

for corporate accounts as diverse as the Suzuki Corporation, Blue Diamond

Walnuts and Nishiki Bicycles.

In 1986, Lee received both a Hollywood Reporter Key Art Award and a

Print Magazine award for "Howard The Duck". Lee's other awards include

a Belding Award and Gold & Bronze Medals from the Society of

Illustrators of Los Angeles (SILA).

Lee is also an active participant in the United States Air Force Art Program

and has three paintings in their permanent collection.

Lee MacLeod lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife and two daughters.
