The biggest, nay the grandest trend of 2012 is that of candy colored garments, shoes and accessories. From pastels to bright colors that pop, mix and match, color block or monotone they are truly a great way to inject character into your wardrobe.

Trend Tales-- Mad Men

25 April 2012
Mad Men, the popular series, has returned after 18 months of negotiations and it is jammed pack with quirky dialogue reminiscent of British television and body conscious dresses and fashion from the 50s and 60s.

Curve hugging dresses, candy colored fabrics, flirty party dresses, kitten heels and cute capris, Mad Men has brought the 50s and 60s front and center. Here are some mad ideas to update your wardrobe with vintage fashion.

Pan Am- Mad Men Fashion

11 January 2012
My computer is still down and I have no idea how long that will be. I just returned from Las Vegas, 2 days ago and I am still recovering but being there reminded me of those great Hollywood Starlets of the 50s and 60s and I decided to do a post on that fashion from that period or at least an inspiration board of sorts.

I based the look off of the women of Mad Men and Pan Am. I just loved how poised the women were then. They took their appearance seriously and sexiness wasn't about how much skin you could show without being completely naked, it was about subtle sexiness. Subtlety is the key and I love it. Don't get me wrong, the social injustices of that era were in fact abominable but the fashion was oh, so chic. I prefer to focus on the positive things and what brings us together and fashion definitely does.

I am excited about a lot of things, my company is launching three new products, one of which I will be talking about here. Because its fabulous, but until then, enjoy this inspiration board and my pics from my road trip to Vegas.
