Well yeah obviously Lana isn't the only one. I'm a musician too and I get that they wanna let people in on their process, sometimes I do the same "tease" (for lack of a better word) snippets on my Insta. But I also don't have millions of fans so who cares. I am being completely selfish when I say this, it's annoying when the snippet was over a year ago and we've got basically nothing since. Honestly, I just think we'd all like to know when/if it's actually coming, e.g. the label makes an official announcement. -
It's my first time watching the show as the episodes come out, as I binged the other two. And for some reason, I feel both excited and bored by the current season. It just feels like hardly anything is happening. That being said it might be the effect of having to wait a week before episodes which makes it feel slow. The writers are great at slowly building tension throughout the series, so I know when shit does hit the fan it'll be glorious . But something mad needs to happen ASAP!

I'm just sorta of the belief that if you're willing to share snippets to millions of fans, then you should probably only do so if you KNOW that it will be used in the album. Other wise, why bother? Unless she gets off on pissing around with her fans idk. I guess she was probably testing the waters when she shared the snippet of Henry, seeing what the fan base think of it. Well bitch we all love it, just release the damn song. -

I wish she would just post the music she wants to release on YouTube, without the label, like she did with Video Games, although she’s probs prohibited -

I’d recommend listening to the blind boy podcast, his knowledge on the evolution of music is outstanding and very interesting. -

I see where you’re coming from regarding the distinction between traditional country and contemporary country pop, but I think the argument is a bit oversimplified. Country music has never been a static genre, it has always evolved through cross-pollination with other styles. What we consider “pure country” from 70 years ago was, at the time, a product of its own influences, including blues, folk, and even early jazz elements. Even in the 1950s, artists like Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves were pushing country toward a more polished, pop-influenced sound, much like how country pop functions today. The idea that “real” country music is solely tied to 18th and 19th century settlers is also a bit limiting. While those influences are undeniably a foundation, country music also owes a huge debt to Black American musical traditions, such as blues and gospel which shaped its instrumentation and vocal styles. Appalachian folk music, for example, would not exist without these contributions. As for modern country pop, while it certainly leans heavily on radio-friendly hooks, dismissing it as a “bastardization” of country rather than a continuation of its evolution ignores how every era of country music has been shaped by commercial and mainstream appeal. Artists like Kacey Musgraves, Orville Peck, and Sturgill Simpson blend traditional country elements with contemporary production while still maintaining lyrical depth and authenticity. Lana’s understanding of country seems to align with its storytelling tradition, which has always been central to the genre, whether in classic country, outlaw country, or modern country pop. Songs like Ride and Video Games do have similarities to country storytelling, especially in their focus on longing, nostalgia, and emotional sincerity. Country is more than just a sound; it’s also about narrative and sentiment, which Lana has always excelled at. Ultimately, genres shift and change, and what we define as “real” country is subjective. If Lana’s take on country ends up being more traditional, great! If it blends elements of pop, rock, or folk, that wouldn’t necessarily make it any less valid as a country project, it would just be another footmark in the genre’s ongoing evolution. -
Lana to release new song "Henry, Come On" with Luke Laird - LEAD SINGLE

Okay thanks I couldn’t remember her precise words or when stagecoach is meant to be haha. Hopefully we get to hear it soon then! If for whatever reason Henry isn’t released before stagecoach though, I guess it’s possible she could debut it there.. but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be available to stream. It might still be released afterwards if there’s production issues or whatever. I dunno… I just thought she would have released it by now -

What if she meant Henry is coming May 21st? I know it’s not what she said but it’s possible… it’s not like she has the best track record in giving accurate updates -

I like this song a lot but I LOVE the bridge -
Fuck yes of course, I was gagged the minute I heard it. I’ve dedicated hours perfecting this song on piano, and when you learn how to play a song you see how amazingly it has been arranged. I’ve got nothing but the upmost admiration and respect for this song. I hope TRPWS follows in the same vein.

This is truly one of Lana’s most beautiful and underrated songs. It has such a grounding effect on me. Makes me feel so much self love.

Folk is one of oldest form of music from the first settlers in America, as well as gospel. Before that, it was Native American music. Country developed in the early 20th century which blended folk with blues and gospel. Folk and gospel basically laid the foundations for country music, but it’s by no means the oldest. Actually it’s relatively new in the grand scheme of things. Whether or not Lana leans more into folk than country, I don’t mind. I’ll admit I’m not buzzing for this album but I know when it comes I’ll love it. After 13 years of being a Lana fan, I’ve never been disappointed by an album. -
