She travels….extensively. At times by wheels, sometimes by wing, other times by wave. She  travels while she sits and knits, creativity driving. Creativity inspired by mountain travel, memories, textures and color, small towns, 5th Avenues and spring flowers. She travels…..light. Light as the wind. With her backpack  she is prepared to hike mountain passes, climb the north face, and forge those rivers.  Next week, she will grab her Zucca on wheels and brave airport security flying to the next big city. One thing remains constant. She always travels with a Lo-Lo Body Bar. She knows while hiking, she won’t be bugged, and while in the city, dry skin doesn’t have a chance.

Lo-Lo Shares Making Cents with Retail Therapy in Two Easy Steps
1.  Do your homework and look for ways to maximize your hard earned dollars. Go the Bar-Maids site at www.bar-maids.com and make a list of the scents you love or are wanting to try. This will help curb any impulse buying and come in handy later. While online check out the Everything Please. It's a steal!  Do the math of what it would cost if you purchased all those items individually, the effective Body Bar, easy to stash To-Go B, Cuticle Intensive. and that luscious Lip Balm, transforming Face Pudding, an ohhhhh O’for Feet. And you can't forget that it comes in a Namaste Snap pouch.
2. Buy Local to save on shipping. he While on the bar-maids site, click on the Retailers tab to see if a store is located near you. Call the store to find out if they have those items on your list in stock.  If not, ask them to order it or... just order on-line. Did you know that Bar-Maids ships within 3 working days. In other words, you get it fast. After all this excitement, take a deep breath. Soon, very soon, all parts of your body will be moisturized with natural, effective, skin loving butters and oils – for a very long time. And that extra cash you now have on hand, Lo-Lo and I wish you all the fun in the world spending it in fiber land.

We'll have contests and tons of prizes, and plenty of yarn on hand so we can send a record number of hats to Halos. Our particular focus for this event is Halos' Camp Happy Times Project . We'll be knitting kids' hats in star themes (think stars, moons, constellations, Star Wars, Star Trek, and more!) for kids 5-22 battling cancer.
Call (408) 735-9276 to RSVP!

Fiber Festival season is almost here!  The Black Sheep Gathering (June 21-23)  in Eugene, OR attracts spinners and knitters from all over the region for a weekend of fibery fun.  Fleece auctions, spinning classes, herding demonstrations, and shopping with friends; what could be better?  Visit the Stash pop-up shop in Booth #12 to see a small sampling of our extensive stash of hand-dyed + locally sourced yarn.  While you're at it, consider making a pilgrimage to Stash in Corvallis, just 45 minutes north of Eugene. Catch a peek of what we're planning on our website at www.stashlocal.com.

Gigi has picked her projects for The Summer of Lace and Beads: The Lorelei and  Midsommer, both by Sivia Harding, and the Shipswreck shawl. Jasmin picked the Ophidian for her project.

And Sew On:(34:17)

This week we sewed baby sack gowns with Miss Kalendar, from the Brass Needles podcast, using Jasmin's Babylock Evolution.

Gigi used an iron to rescue one of Genevieve's dresses. Gigi found treasures in her mending basket, and she spent some more time hand sewing the binding on the quilt she is repairing.
