It's hard to believe that two years have passed by since Grey joined our family. She is growing up so quickly and rapidly learning new words and phrases. Her birthday party was "Curious George" themed because that is her all time favorite show to watch, plus, she loves monkeys.
The super party started in the backyard playing. Grey loves to throw balls at people and run around. She just can't get enough of being outside.
Balloons are also high on Grey's list of favorite things. She begged me and anyone else who would listen, to untie the balloons from the slide so she could hold them.
Grant is also one of her favorite things. She is always talking about her "uncle." He is who she asks for when she comes to our house. She wants to hang out with him, kiss him and have her pay attention to her. We all know that Grant secretly relishes all of the attention she gives him.
Playing in the backyard was followed up with a barbecue. Mitchell cooked enough hot dogs and hamburgers to feed 30 people. Mitchell has a knack for cooking on the grill. The food was very yummy!
Time to open presents!
Grey really wanted the Anna doll out of the box. Unfortunately, with so many small parts, it will be a while before she can play with it.
Perry's mom, known to Grey as Gaga, gave her a "Frozen" dress. It has very pretty blue ruffles on it. Grey loves to dress up and I'm sure she will be wearing this often.
Grey also LOVES to clean. Yes, she wants to clean the house whenever she is allowed to. The broom and vacuum cleaner from Gaga were an instant hit. Grey left the room and swept the kitchen floor. Later, she swept her little playhouse in the backyard. After the party was over, she chased people with her vacuum up and down the hall and into her room.
Great-Grandma Linda in California, sent Grey a couple of darling outfits. This one is a pretty pink spring dress.
This outfit from Great-Grandma Linda is a white dress with black hearts and hot pink accents. Grey will be very fashionable this spring.
Grey opened up one of our gifts. It was filled with outfits, pink sandals and a monkey blanket I had made.
The second gift we gave her was a baby doll with a bottle, sippy cup, magnetic pacifier and a butterfly shaped toy. She always wants to play with baby dolls at my house so I figured she needed one at her house. In the picture above, she is playing with the baby's eyes. This doll has the cool eyes that open and close.

In this picture, Grey is knowingly feeding the bottle in the baby's eye. She thinks it is pretty funny. :0
Grey received many more awesome gifts: clothes, shoes, a yearlong zoo membership, a Roku Curious George dvd's and...
a HUGE Curious George doll. She gave George a big hug.
Time for cake! Randa made this adorable Curious George cake. It is almost too cute to cut.
Grey learned to blow out candles right before she turned 2. She still needed a little help to get both candles out.
As soon as Mitchell put her down to get rid of the candles, she attacked the cake. Gage is on the right side of the picture and he wasn't happy she tore into the masterpiece. I was laughing that she dove into it while all of us were standing around the table. She didn't do too much damage. She walked away with a handful of fondant.
This is one HAPPY little girl eating her cake!
So cute!
Brent and I are lucky to be the grandparents of such a sweet, curious, happy girl!
