Grant's High School Graduation!

On Thursday, May 21st, Grant graduated from Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona.  He was one of 611 graduates in his graduating class.  I am so proud of him in sticking to his studies and earning his high school diploma.  College is right around the corner.  Here are the high lights of the night.

Grant the GRADUATE!
Max didn't want to miss out on a picture with his best friend!

The tassel was super annoying!
I love Grant!
We took turns entertaining Grant before and during the ceremony.  She can choose to be a handful from time to time!
Mitchell is an awesome daddy!

Can you find Grant in the crowd?

He is on his way to the stage...we waited along time for the announcer to call his name!
He is on his way down with the diploma in hand!
Proud mom!
Proud brother!
Proud sister-in-law!
What a cute picture!!!!
Grey LOVES her Uncle Grant!

Congratulations Grant!
Grey is phone thief!  Do not leave your phone unattended!
Perry wanted a picture with all three of my Corona graduates together:  2015, 2012, and 2011.
I think Grant is only fake kissing Perry.  Zoom in, do his lips actually touch her face?
We were so happy that Brandon and Nancy joined us in the stands and at the house for our little celebration.  They are a cute couple!  Love them!

Grant isn't sure what degree he would like to pursue, he just knows he will start college in the fall at Mesa Community College.  Congratulations on your graduation Grant!

Grey's Easter Pictures

It is so much fun to be able dress Grey up and take her to get her picture taken.  She wants to do everything except sit still and smile during the photo session.  She still prefers to scowl when you ask her to show her teeth or to smile.  She also would prefer to play with a football instead of sitting in a pretty chair and posing.  It makes me wonder what she will be like when she grows up!

She looks like she is ready to run for the football again!  I am surprised we just didn't take any pictures with the football in it.  Every time she sees one of these pictures, she just says, "football."

The look on her face here remind me of myself.  I had a pretty big attitude when we did family pictures EVERY single time.  I remember having to be bribed with ice cream to produce half a smile.

LOVE her smile and spunk!

She loves to take care of her baby dolls.  Sometimes she feeds the baby in the eye and then looks at you to see what you think.  ;)

Yippee!!!!  We are done!

Grant is 18!

Grant is now officially an adult.  His 18th birthday was on March 21st.  He didn't want a big party with lots of friends and family over at the house to harass him.  So we had a quiet dinner and celebration with just our little family.

Presents for his car from Perry.

Grey just had her 2nd birthday 2 weeks earlier.  She is an expert on unwrapping presents and willingly helped Grant unwrap his presents.
Grant got a super cool knife sharpener from Brent and I.  We also tinted his car windows.  Now he is stylin' when he is driving through town.
Grandparents Dixie & Dennis also got Grant safety supplies for his car.  He will be the best prepared driver on the road.  He is ready for anything!

Mitchell got Grant an electronic safe.  Grey thought the box made for a great ride through the house.
Mitchell and Grant are always doing something silly together.  They never seem to run out of brotherly love!
We almost set off the smoke detectors with all of the candles on Grant's cake.  There was quite a bit of smoke in the house after he blew all 18 of them out.

Grant is ready for the next phase of life.  He is thoughtful, hard-working, thrifty, silly, loving and still likes hugs.  He will do great on whatever path he decides to take.  I love you Grant!

Grey's 2nd Birthday

It's hard to believe that two years have passed by since Grey joined our family.  She is growing up so quickly and rapidly learning new words and phrases.  Her birthday party was "Curious George" themed because that is her all time favorite show to watch, plus, she loves monkeys.

The super party started in the backyard playing.  Grey loves to throw balls at people and run around.  She just can't get enough of being outside.
Balloons are also high on Grey's list of favorite things.  She begged me and anyone else who would listen, to untie the balloons from the slide so she could hold them.
Grant is also one of her favorite things.  She is always talking about her "uncle."  He is who she asks for when she comes to our house.  She wants to hang out with him, kiss him and have her pay attention to her.  We all know that Grant secretly relishes all of the attention she gives him.

Playing in the backyard was followed up with a barbecue.  Mitchell cooked enough hot dogs and hamburgers to feed 30 people.  Mitchell has a knack for cooking on the grill.  The food was very yummy!
Time to open presents!
Grey really wanted the Anna doll out of the box.  Unfortunately, with so many small parts, it will be a while before she can play with it.
Perry's mom, known to Grey as Gaga, gave her a "Frozen" dress.  It has very pretty blue ruffles on it.  Grey loves to dress up and I'm sure she will be wearing this often.
Grey also LOVES to clean.  Yes, she wants to clean the house whenever she is allowed to.  The broom and vacuum cleaner from Gaga were an instant hit.  Grey left the room and swept the kitchen floor.  Later, she swept her little playhouse in the backyard.  After the party was over, she chased people with her vacuum up and down the hall and into her room.
Great-Grandma Linda in California, sent Grey a couple of darling outfits.  This one is a pretty pink spring dress.
This outfit from Great-Grandma Linda is a white dress with black hearts and hot pink accents.  Grey will be very fashionable this spring.
Grey opened up one of our gifts.  It was filled with outfits, pink sandals and a monkey blanket I had made.
The second gift we gave her was a baby doll with a bottle, sippy cup, magnetic pacifier and a butterfly shaped toy.  She always wants to play with baby dolls at my house so I figured she needed one at her house.  In the picture above, she is playing with the baby's eyes.  This doll has the cool eyes that open and close.

In this picture, Grey is knowingly feeding the bottle in the baby's eye.  She thinks it is pretty funny.  :0
Grey received many more awesome gifts:  clothes, shoes, a yearlong zoo membership, a Roku Curious George dvd's and...
a HUGE Curious George doll.  She gave George a big hug.

Time for cake!  Randa made this adorable Curious George cake.  It is almost too cute to cut.
Grey learned to blow out candles right before she turned 2.  She still needed a little help to get both candles out.
As soon as Mitchell put her down to get rid of the candles, she attacked the cake.  Gage is on the right side of the picture and he wasn't happy she tore into the masterpiece.  I was laughing that she dove into it while all of us were standing around the table.  She didn't do too much damage.  She walked away with a handful of fondant.
This is one HAPPY little girl eating her cake!
So cute!
Brent and I are lucky to be the grandparents of such a sweet, curious, happy girl!
