Project Life: Back to School

Happy Tuesday!!  Today I want to share with you my opening pages for the kids School/Childhood albums!

I am still trying to decide the format I what to use for documenting our family memories.  Likely, I will decided on a smaller album (handbook maybe?).  The weekly 12x12 has become overwhelming lately- maybe it's because of the stage of life we are in, or the fact that I have been documenting with this same size for four years now.  I want to switch it up and find a method that is more manageable.

With that said, I DO still want to use the 12x12 album to document each of the kids' school year.  I love the fact they will have a detailed album and I want to really focus on something this year I can give THEM.  (like who eventually takes all the family albums??  i think about these weird things)

We just went Back to School two weeks ago!  B2S is the perfect start for this album!  I created a layout for Jonah that was easily duplicated (with of course a girl theme for Jordan).  It is simple and quick to put together!   I used the same photo of the two of them together, a 3x4 single photo of each child, and a 3x4 of each child with their teacher).

One Elle's Studio item I love to use is the "My Favorites" interview journaling card in the Cameron and Penelope collections- it's so fun to see what they say every year!

I also used a striped pattern paper with the school year in each spread.  The paper in Jonah's layout is from the Let's Eat Paper Collection, and the paper from Jordan's layout is from the NEW Thankful Paper Collection.   I also used our brand new IN STOCK Jordan Stamps in both layouts--- they are so fun to play with!!!

I used one journaling spot to describe the morning before school, one journaling spot to document the actual day and how it went, and then one journaling spot was dedicated to their teacher.

This layout for Jordan came about in no time since I used the same basic format and similar products for her page!   Loving the way it turned out!
