Easter Buddies Card

Today's card is using products from the latest Honey Bee Stamps Spring Bliss Release.  I love bunnies and there are some super cute ones in this release.  

I mixed the bunnies and eggs together for this bright and colorful Easter card.

The background is stenciled with the new Basketweave Stencil and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink.

The bunnies are from the Easter Buddies Stamps and Dies.  I cut them out with the solid egg shape die in the Build An Egg die set. 

The Here Comes the Easter Bunny sentiment is from the Hoppy Easter sentiment set stamps and dies. 

I laid the eggs out on the card front and decided kind of the direction and spacing so I would know how many I needed and then colored them with Copic markers.

Bunnies and New Tier Tray Essentials

How do you like your peeps?  

I could answer that a few different ways...like, alive and breathing and NOT the marshmallow type? *Ü* 

Well, today we're talking about wood peep style bunnies and other wood things for you to paint and enjoy in your home decor.  I love supporting other crafters, especially local crafters and when I find something I love, I like to share with all of you.

  

My friend Michelle, from Idaho Custom Creations, the one who is creating the fabulous Tiered Tray monthly subscription kit that I LOVE, has a few new products in her store.

These 2" wood bunnies are made of 1/4" maple wood and paint like a dream!

I may have painted quite a few!  I'm going to include them in a few Easter goodies this year.  

I love the fun, bright colors, but for my home decor, I like things that are a bit more neutral.  So MY bunnies got a coat of  Warm White paint and a dip in some dark finishing wax.

You know how much I love my tiered tray, so I was super excited when she introduced a line of risers.  My tiered tray is recessed, so I have to set smaller thing on blocks and such to get them to show above the rim.  These are PERFECT!

They come unfinished so you can stain or paint to match your decor.  

Stand Risers and Ball Foot Risers in 4" and 5".

I painted my Stand Risers Warm White, put pink stripes on the taller one and them waxed them with dark finishing wax. I used Frog Tape to mask off the areas for the stripes.  

The Ball Root Risers, I painted Neutral Gray and antiqued those too.

The ladders are a fun accessory!  You put them on the edge of your tray and they lean against the next tier. All trays are different sizes, so she has the most common 3 sizes in her store.  My tiered tray needs the 9" to lean from the bottom tray to the top tray.

 They stand alone or you can add a little something sitting on the ladder.

Sunday Drive Expressions of Spring

Hoppy Sunday Drive!

Spellbinders has new Easter characters for the Sunday Drive dies and look how cute these bunnies are!!

Mama, daddy and three babies plus new florals, greenery, carrots, itty bitty eggs, 2 pennant options and two tailgate sentiments, Spring and Easter.

  

The background on this one is the Inspire Embossing Folder. I love a little texture on my cards.  The Happy Spring die cut words are from the new die set called Expressions of Spring Sentiments in this Expressions of Love Collection.

All the bunny cuteness is from the new Hoppy Sunday Drive.

For this one I created a tag.  I hand cut the shape and stenciled the background with the Bubble Bubble Stencil. This stencil is a fun mix of small and large circles.

Mama and daddy are all in gray and the bunnies white.  How about those eggs?  You drive with eggs on the back of your car, right? *Ü*

These guys are called the Hip Hop Squad and are busy decorating Easter eggs.  I paper pieced the Spring Floral Paper Pack #2 paper on the eggs to give them a cute pattern.  I also used a strip on each tag above the sentiment.

Easter Basket Builder Egg Wreaths

I love bunny ears!  They make no sense, I know, but at Easter time you can put them anywhere and it's OK.  

So today I put bunny ears in egg wreathes that I made from my favorite set with this spring release - Easter Basket Builder Stamp Set and Dies.

I embossed all the eggs in white on three different colors of cardstock.  Then, I colored a few with markers to add more color.  I cut them all out with the dies and layered them on the wreath.

The stamp set has 8 different eggs and the die set has 8 egg dies, so this goes super fast.  Great thinking, Honey Bee!

For the wreath, I used the circle dies to create the shape before adhering the eggs.

I felt like it needed a little color, so I used a green print from the Playful Pastels Paper Pack to cut more eggs for the back layer.  The card is also made with the paper pack - I love that soft blush pink color.

Here is another wreath I made, this time with chocolate bunny ears.  I haven't made it into a card yet, but it is going to be CUTE!!
