Merry Christmas

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!
Your comments and e-mails have warmed my heart this year and it has been my pleasure to share my creations, my life and my family with all of you.

I'm thankful to have all our family together this Christmas.  George works out of town during the week and commutes on the weekends and Benjamin attends UC Berkeley in California.  Everyone made it home safe and sound.

Benjamin tried a few blonde highlights this fall...only to die them back a month later. Good thing we will have family photos to remember that by! *Ü*

Nicholas is a Jr. in high school this year and I'm savoring every minute with him as he too will head to California for college in just over a year.  {Insert sad mom face}

And to prove he's really here since he is taking most of the pictures I post of family, here is my husband.  Forever supportive of my business and the best partner I could ask for.  We weathered a year of unemployment and my business kept us above water and our son in college.  We are forever grateful that he is working again even if it means he's only home on the weekends. :(

This new year will bring an exciting moment - very soon I will reach 9 million visitors to my blog!  Who would have thought just 8 years ago that I would be saying that today.  Thank you all for continuing to stop by, leave comments and send e-mails letting me know you appreciate my work.  We've had some pretty good times this year!

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and my 2016 bring you many happy memories and reasons to celebrate!

Cup of Cheer Slider Box

Making teacher gifts is always fun for me, I love giving little gifts.  This year I asked Nicholas to scope out his teachers and see if they have anything that they really like that we can use as an idea for a gift.
For one of his teachers he learned that he loves Butterfingers and blue Gatorade.  So we filled one of our slider boxes full of Butterfingers and added a Gift Card as well.  For those of you who are interested...the box holds the entire bag of snack size Butterfinger bars!!

Christmas Stamp Case With A Handle

This came in handy when I needed to take a gift!  I had some stamp cases with handles ready to go so all I had to do was fill it.

You can get all the details on putting handles on stamp cases, HERE.

I added 4 Christmas cards and envelopes, wrapped up some Hershey Nuggets and put a piece of Designer Series Paper inside the pen to match.

Peaceful Pines Gift Card Holders

I have a fun little mini idea for you today.  We tend to give so many gift cards, especially to our teachers that I have to find a new way to package them each year.

This cutie is a mini version of the Kraft Bags Toppers I did for my When A Paper Bag Just Isn't A Paper Bag tutorial last year.

Start by cutting a Mini Treat Bag in Kraft cardstock and then cut the top off until the bag is about 3-1/2" tall.

The topper is 4-1/4" x 4". Score in half at 2".  Fold in half and apply Tombow Liquid Glue to the very edge of each side, making sure it does not get on the area where the bag slides in.  Put clothespins on it until it is set up and dry.

Then decorate the topper!
I applied the Washi tape, stamped the words and then ran the white piece through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Then added the other pieces along with some Gold Thread.

This is a fun idea for any occasion - just change out the stamp set!
