Much better interface than of many other players.
Does not force me to play one artist only or one album only or any other one category only.
Plays what I want and how I want, which usually means all files from a specific folder (including sub-folders) in random order, playing it endlessly. Also easily allows several other ways of selecting what to play, I just seldom used those.
VLC simply plays.
