Folderico is a nice little tool that offers a really convenient, easy, and fast method of changing the default icons of your folders. Using this handy tool you can easily assign any custom icon to any of your folders and make sure those folders will stand out of the crowd, being easy to distinguish at any time.

Folderico is simple, so even complete beginners can use it without any problem. It can also integrate within the Windows context menu (the right-click menu) of the folders, allowing you to easily access it at any time and quickly change the icon of the folder with almost no effort at all.

Folderico comes with a collection of nice, professional-looking folder icons that you can use it for changing the default directory icons. Windows 7 compatible icons are also available. Anyway, you can use your own images and icons for the folder icons, if the ones provided by default in the app’s database don’t fit your wishes.

In conclusion, Folderico is a handy application that works like a charm and gets my recommendation, especially since it is completely free.

I heard about Folderico and FolderMarker. I bought both, because folder organizing is a huge part of my work. I am satisfied with both.
