The levels are represented by little islands in which you will have different challenges to face. In some of them, you will have to create buildings to generate certain goods. Then, you can sell them in the market to get money or to purchase other items. To build structures, you need a certain workforce, for which you may have to purchase men as you advance. You will also have to repair bridges, build idols to protect you from your enemies, and even build catapults to destroy enemy buildings. Be careful, because your enemies may also destroy your own buildings and roads and even steal resources. You should protect yourself from them by building fences.
Unfortunately, the game only offers one mode, but it has lots of awards that you can obtain by getting certain achievements throughout the game. You can check them in the main menu.
As for the graphics, they are nice and colorful, featuring cartoonish cute characters and beautiful scenes. The music is suitable, but repetitive.
In short, Island Realms is a nice and pretty original game that will surely keep you playing for hours non-stop.
