Chris Hemsworth finally addresses his crying scene in the recent Marvel blockbuster, Deadpool & Wolverine. However, his answer did not provide anything significant to the Marvel fans except a hint that it will be answered in the upcoming MCU movies. Interestingly, Hemsworth didn’t film the scene and the movie used a stand-in actor for him.

Hemsworth is currently busy with the promotions of his film, Transformers One, which is set to hit US theaters on September 20. However, he will probably return to his role as Thor soon in Avengers: Secret Wars as well as a potential Thor 5. Fans expect to see a relationship between Deadpool and Thor in one of these films.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is over halfway through its Multiverse Saga storyline now and the endgame of it all seems clearer than ever. That's not because it's at the halfway point. The franchise had been having more downs than ups until earlier this year when the game-changing release of Deadpool and Wolverine was matched in its awesome response by the announcement that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the franchise as the saga's new major villain, Doctor Doom.
Anything is possible in the multiverse, including replacing your major villain with a new one (as Downey's Doom will now replace Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror), so bringing back the Iron Man star in a new role was doable. And as surprising as it was in many ways, in others it wasn't, because expectations are high for the upcoming two Avengers movies, with fans already expecting to see some major returns in...

The world might still be reeling from Ryan Reynold’s Thor scene from Deadpool and Wolverine. However, the MCU seems to be moving on with Thor 5. Although there has been no confirmation about the upcoming film, rumors and assumptions about it have made their way online. With the franchise taking a darker turn with the fifth installation, Kevin Feige has a tough call to make; who will be the film’s latest villain?

The questions might be up in the air. However, it looks like the President of Marvel Studios could have another trick up his sleeve. After all, with Loki season 2 paving the way for an unlikely meeting between the brothers, it has also opened up the doors to Chris Hemsworth’s darkest nemesis, Black Winter.

Thor has been a challenging superhero for innumerable villains throughout the Marvel universe, with or without wielding his Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. Be it in the comics or the live-action lore, the Asgardian has proven himself worthy with his might and power, even though some movies may have fallen short of living up to his persona and fans’ expectations. Like The Dark World.

Considered by many as the worst movie in his film series, this movie just couldn’t level up its predecessor’s standards. Even then, one good thing came out of it, that fans still can’t deny was lowkey epic: The live-action version of Kurse, who might as well be considered Odinson’s strongest nemesis after watching him beat Chris Hemsworth up without breaking a sweat.

The next Thor adventure is allegedly being developed at Marvel Studios, and there is a list of things that the film needs to do to meet the audience’s expectations. To begin with, Chris Hemsworth has made it clear that he wants a new direction for the character, with fans, too, clamoring for a darker take on the God of Thunder, something more akin to his comic book roots.

For a movie that marks Deadpool's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, there's actually not a whole lot of MCU in "Deadpool & Wolverine." If you don't count Ant Man's skull or a Hulk that may or may not be Mark Ruffalo's version, the only two MCU cameos in "Deadpool & Wolverine" are Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan and Chris Hemsworth's Thor.
This is a movie that, as /Film's Chris Evangelista put it, can be quite accurately described as a "disappointing cameo-fest." "Deadpool & Wolverine" is an ode to the very idea of the cameo itself, bringing in hordes of former 20th Century Fox Marvel stars alongside various "What If"-style guest appearances such as Henry Cavill's "Cavill-rine" and Channing Tatum's Gambit. You'd think that in such a movie, which also happens to be Deadpool's first official MCU outing, we would have gotten more from the Marvel Studios side of things.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine has become one of the biggest hits of the year, taking audiences on an entertaining thrill ride. The kinetic banter between the titular characters and the fun extended appearances of legacy Marvel characters kept fans on their toes who cheered for the immensely satisfying fan service that the film provided.

One of the funniest scenes from the film was Deadpool seeing Thor crying over him in a Tva footage that presumably takes place in the future. Fans have been wondering the reason behind it and believing that Hemsworth shot for that quick cameo. However, a BTS image of the scene proves otherwise, surprising fans invested in the mystery.

Deadpool & Wolverine was #1 at the box office for three weeks before being dethroned by Alien: Romulus; however, it returned to the top spot during its fifth weekend in theaters and will remain there for its sixth according to Variety.
While several new movies will open nationwide, including Reagan, Afraid, and 1992, none will likely crack the top five. Instead, Marvel Studios' first R-Rated movie will stay on top with an estimated $12 million - $13 million.
So far, it's racked up $577 million in North America and $1.2 billion worldwide.
We also have a new featurette for Deadpool & Wolverine which focuses primarily on Cassandra Nova's comic-accurate ability to insert her hands into people's heads while reading their minds and how VFX was used to bring that concept to life on screen.
There are lots of great snippets of behind-the-scenes footage, though, including a closer look at how that unforgettable battle with the Deadpool Corps was filmed.

It may be hard to believe, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently old enough to get its very own driver's license. That's right; it's been sixteen years of epic storytelling, jaw-dropping action sequences, and tear-dropping moments. For more than a decade and a half, we've watched our favorite heroes come to life on the big screen, save the day, travel through time, and even break the multiverse.
But regardless of how many strengths the MCU has, one of its best will always be the on-point casting. We all know Robert Downey Jr. was born to play the billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist; Tony Stark. Much like him, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner all perfectly fit their respective roles. So it's time to take a trip down memory lane and look how old the original six Avengers were when they started their epic journey on the MCU!

Taika Waitit’s Thor: Ragnarok was one of the better-received films in the MCU, revitalizing Thor as an IP after the abysmal reception that Thor: The Dark World received. However, there was something off about the film, given the haunting nightmare that was teased in Avengers: Age of Ultron that was waiting for Thor back on Asgard.

This has come to the notice of fans, who believe that Thor deserved much better than Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, which a lot fans believe was not the right tone for the character. While Ragnarok did wonders for Thor’s character, Love and Thunder milked the formula a little too much, which caused a slew of fans to not want to return to the IP if Waititi was still at the helm.

Ranker is a popular platform where users can create and vote on rankings for virtually anything, based purely on fan opinions and not official endorsements from the creators. Recently, Ranker conducted a large survey to determine the worst MCU movies. While the list includes over 30 films, we’ve focused on the top ten worst movies for a more detailed look, along with our own commentary to enhance the report.
Given the significance of this list, we’re excited to present the results, ranking the top 10 worst MCU movies from 10th to 1st place, with the top spot being the least favored. We hope you find it as interesting as we do!
10. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever wasn’t terrible and is arguably the least problematic film on this list, but it lacked innovation. Unlike some other films, such as Multiverse of Madness, it wasn’t a chaotic mess.

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

With not one but two Avengers movies on the horizon, things are about to get pretty intense in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They've already gotten pretty intense recently now that Deadpool and Wolverine are a part of the franchise, but with the end of the Multiverse Saga in sight, big plans are in the works and fans are excited to see them come to fruition.
It doesn't get bigger than Avengers movies. And Marvel is already pulling out all the stops, bringing back the one and only Robert Downey Jr. to portray the new MCU villain Doctor Doom. He won't be the only comeback, either, as fans are anticipating a huge multiversal showdown with plenty of beloved returnees.
Multiple new reports have suggested that another one of the most beloved actors will be back too.

Netflix is back with a new star-studded action movie — this time led by Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry — with “The Union.” Wahlberg stars as Mike, a Jersey construction worker who finds his average life turned upside down when his high school sweetheart Roxanne (Berry) shows up and he gets tangled up in a continent-skipping international intelligence adventure.
But Berry and Wahlberg aren’t the only familiar faces in the Netflix romp. Here’s a handy guide to “The Union” cast and the characters they play.

After the success of the first "Deadpool," 20th Century Fox immediately began planning a trilogy, with the original idea being for the X-Force to feature prominently in the third film. Of course, "Deadpool 2" ended up being kind of about X-Force, and by the time that movie was released, Disney had already announced the acquisition of 20th Century Fox. This also meant going back to the drawing board for "Deadpool 3."
Still, this didn't stop Ryan Reynolds from trying to make the third "Deadpool" movie happen, as brainstorming on that movie started before "Deadpool 2" opened in theaters. Many of the early concepts for "Deadpool 3" were eventually scrapped, like making it a Sundance-sized road trip movie with Dopinder or a bad remake of "Thor: The Dark World." Still, certain elements struck around and even made their way into the final version, i.e. "Deadpool & Wolverine."

What a week it's been in comic books. The Power Fantasy No. 1 by Kieron Gillen with art by Caspar Wijngaard was a reminder to read comic books from Image Comics, Daredevil No. 12 by Saladin Ahmed continued to show a side of Daredevil we’re still not used to seeing, andI can’t forget Absolute Power No. 2, during which Amanda Waller and Brainiac Queen did something that even Superman can’t forgive.
This week, these 10 new titles are also must-reads. But that doesn't mean we can't make some time for a classic pick too.

We expected Deadpool & Wolverine to kill the Fox Universe; instead, it paid homage to that world, putting the spotlight on legacy heroes like the Human Torch and Elektra, in the process.
There were a great many rumours heading into the movie, including claims Ben Affleck's Daredevil would appear. While the character was referenced (via a cheeky nod to Jennifer Garner's divorce from Affleck), there was ultimately no sign of the Man Without Fear.
Talking to IndieWire, Deadpool & Wolverine writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese admitted they "wanted" Daredevil, with Reese saying, "Did we want to get Ben [Affleck]? We never asked Ben though, I don’t think." Wenick then confirmed, "At some point, Ben was on the list."
Added Reese, "Ben was on the list, but I don’t think it ever came into script pages or actually asking him. One of the great joys of 'Deadpool' is the fact that,...

The McU's 5 Lamest Variant Cameos No One Asked For - Main Image

Deadpool & Wolverine: MCU Veteran [Spoiler] Breaks Silence On Surprise Cameo; Ryan Reynolds Responds
Deadpool & Wolverine featured plenty of big cameos, though characters from the Sacred Timeline were largely relegated to monitors in the Tva. That made sense for the story being told, of course, but one scene, in particular, has generated a lot of discussion online.
We are, of course, talking about the moment Deadpool seems his future self being cradled in the arms of a crying Thor. It's widely believed the God of Thunder's side of the scene was courtesy of footage recycled from Thor: The Dark World.

We are, of course, talking about the moment Deadpool seems his future self being cradled in the arms of a crying Thor. It's widely believed the God of Thunder's side of the scene was courtesy of footage recycled from Thor: The Dark World.

Love it or hate it, Rotten Tomatoes is now more important than ever when it comes to whether moviegoers decide to check out the latest releases in theaters, and it's not uncommon for studios to tout scores as proudly as star ratings.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has delivered hit after hit since Iron Man was released in 2008, though the Multiverse Saga has proven it's not immune from the wrath of critics.
After delivering its first Rotten movie in 2021, Marvel Studios had a so-so 2022 before a 2023 we're betting Kevin Feige and company would rather forget (particularly at the box office). Thanks to last year's strikes, 2024 will see the release of only one movie: the R-Rated Deadpool & Wolverine.
It's broken box office records and, with it now added to this list, looking back at how these movies fared on the review aggregator makes for interesting reading, particularly when they're stacked up against each other.

Deadpool & Wolverine introduced the concept of Anchor Beings in the Marvel Multiverse, showing us that Wolverine was the ‘Anchor Being’ for Fox’s X-Men Universe all along. Now, fans are wondering who is the Anchor Being for the MCU, and there might be more than one candidate that fits the bill.
A still from Deadpool and Wolverine (image credit: Marvel)
Anchor Beings’ well-being is crucial for the timelines that they are in, and for a while, speculations have been that the MCU’s anchor being was most likely Iron Man. With jokes about the quality of the MCU declining in the wake of Endgame becoming more and more commonplace, it must be noted that there are a few other characters who have a potent chance at being anchor beings for the Sacred Timeline.

This article contains spoilers for the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Fox-Verse too.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is strong. Or it’s certainly stronger than all the doomsayers were making it out to be last year. While superhero fatigue is probably real, audiences were thrilled to turn out in force this past weekend for Deadpool & Wolverine, a film that is a love letter to not only the MCU but also the far more contentious “Fox-Verse” too. All that nostalgia seems to have paid off for Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and it leaves Marvel in a much needed reset position before next year’s upcoming slate of MCU adventures, including new movies Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and The Fantastic Four.
But today, we’re taking a look back at everything that came before. The MCU now consists of 34(!) big budget movies, and we’re ranking all of them.

"When you say 'a filmmaker' - a lot of people think of directors, writers, producers, and stars... But Ray is a filmmaker, Ray is a storyteller." Some of you may have noticed that Marvel & 20th Century's multiverse mash-up movie Deadpool & Wolverine ends with a tribute saying "In Memory of Raymond Chan." So who was he? Well, now everyone can learn a bit more about him. Raymond Chan, best known as Ray by those who worked with him, was an acclaimed art director & production designer for Marvel Studios. His first credit for Marvel was on Thor: The Dark World in 2013. In the video, producer Kevin Feige states that he went on to work on 10 movies in total for them, including the epic Avengers: Endgame two-parter as the supervising art director. He was also art director on Alien vs. Predator and Children of Men before joining the MCU. Unfortunately Ray passed away...

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman recently returned on screen in their iconic superhero roles with Deadpool & Wolverine. The two actors went full throttle with their banter, action, and satire of the MCU. The Merc with a Mouth and Wolverine’s dynamic is not smooth sailing as they even go hard at each other.

Jackman’s return was one of the film’s main selling orbits, and his incredible agility and confidence with which he played Wolverine proved that he hadn’t lost his mojo. Even at 55, the X-Men star performed the intense action sequences with zeal and ferocity so much so that Reynolds was scared sh*tless while performing with him.

A filming miniature of a Y-Wing Starfighter helmed by Gold Leader, who aided Luke Skywalker in destroying the Death Star in 1977’s “Star Wars: A New Hope,” sold for a whopping $1.55 million Friday at Heritage’s July Entertainment Auction.
Another highlight of the collection was a Princess Leia gold bikini costume from Jabba the Hutt’s scenes in 1983’s “Return of the Jedi,” which sold for $175,000. The ensemble includes seven pieces from Industrial Light & Magic chief sculptor Richard Miller’s collection–a bikini brassiere, bikini plates, hip rings, an armlet and bracelet.
The Y-Wing that sold on Friday is one of just two “hero” (meaning that it was used in close ups) Y-Wing filming miniatures built by the Ilm visual effects team. This post contains spoilers for "Deadpool & Wolverine."
As the actor and creative force behind the Deadpool movies, actor and co-screenwriter Ryan Reynolds arguably knows the character better than anyone at this point, but before Hugh Jackman joined the cast of what would eventually become "Deadpool & Wolverine," Reynolds and director Shawn Levy were scrambling to find an idea worthy of a third "Deadpool" film. Without Wolverine as a key player, what story were they going to tell instead?
Reynolds has previously revealed that a very early incarnation of the film would have been a "Rashomon style" road trip movie featuring Deadpool and Wolverine. But when Disney bought Fox, things got complicated and that idea fell by the wayside ... well, most of it, anyway. Earlier this year, Reynolds shared that he came up with many different treatments for what the movie could be, and one of them was "almost like a Sundance film,...

Note: There are spoilers for “Deadpool & Wolverine” in the article below
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is finally here. It’s the epic superhero saga that has been teased since the “Deadpool” test footage that leaked ahead of the first movie’s production and it is very much worth the wait. Deadpool and Wolverine (a returning Hugh Jackman) are forced to team up to save Deadpool’s universe from a rogue Tva middle-manager named Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) and Charles Xavier’s psychotic sister Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin).
And along the way they meet a few friends …
As soon as “Deadpool & Wolverine” was announced, the assumption was that the film would be a cameo-palooza, full of characters from both the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe and from the vestigial universe established by the 20th Century Fox franchises, with “X-Men,” “Fantastic Four” and others.
But who shows up in “Deadpool & Wolverine?” To answer that,...

Deadpool & Wolverine Producer Reveals Original Story Ideas Including A "Deleted Scenes Extravaganza"
Before the Disney/Fox merger, the success of Deadpool 2 had all but guaranteed a third movie would be made. There was chatter online about both another solo outing and X-Force, though neither project got beyond the discussion stages.
With the Merc with the Mouth later brought under the Disney banner, it seemed doubtful that we'd ever get an R-Rated MCU movie. However, Marvel Studios surprised us all by forging ahead with Deadpool 3 and, a few years later, Deadpool & Wolverine is now hitting theaters.
We know Ryan Reynolds has some ideas for the threequel, including a Rashomon-style story with a much lower budget than its predecessors.
Talking to Cbr about some of the ideas considered under the Marvel Studios umbrella, Deadpool & Wolverine executive producer Wendy Jacobson shared new details about those scrapped concepts.

With all his foul-mouthed bluster and propensity for extreme violence, it's easy to miss just how lonely the Deadpool character is. In his first two vehicles, Ryan Reynolds' motor-mouthed mercenary spends a lot of time alone and separated from the people he cares about, be it the consequence of his own actions or those who have wronged him (if not both). We tend to spend a lot of time talking about the series' more outrageous moments, like when Wade Wilson gets (consensually!) pegged by his girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) or waddles about with a pair of baby legs after being torn in half by Juggernaut. Less attention is showered on the scenes where Wade is too insecure to let Vanessa know he's still alive after a life-saving experiment renders him heavily scarred or trying (and failing) to kill himself while mourning her temporary death.

While Ryan Reynolds has gone on the record as far back as 2021 to state that his dream vision for a third Deadpool movie always involved a road trip story with Wade and Logan, the path to making Deadpool & Wolverine a reality was anything but a smooth ride. In fact, Reynolds spent a good deal of time pitching Marvel Studios on a number of alternate, divergent ideas for Deadpool 3… including a low-budget concept sans any big set pieces. And when we spoke to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige last week, the MCU impresario confirmed that a “Sundance” version was briefly developed. He even shed some light on Reynolds’ apparently Yuletide vision.
“Ryan is an idea machine who every day could pitch a new Deadpool movie, and did for a while as we were working on this,” Feige told us. “I don’t know exactly which ones he’s revealed and talked about,...

Plot: An epic drama set in the corrupt world of the spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition, exploring a side of ancient Rome never before told — the dirty business of entertaining the masses, giving the mob what they want most…blood and sport. The series introduces an ensemble of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire who collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics, and dynasties.
Review: The recent release of the Gladiator II trailer proves that the spectacle and grandeur of the Roman Empire make for fascinating storytelling. Influenced by epics like Spartacus, Cleopatra, and Ben-Hur, the arenas and gladiatorial combat have rarely been as good as they have been on the big screen. Returning to the book that inspired David Franzoni’s initial script for Ridley Scott’s 2000 Best Picture-winning feature film, Those About To Die takes a deeper dive into the politics and machinations of Rome during the first century.

Even going back to the 1940s, Captain America always had one of the silliest costumes in superherodom. Decked out in the colors and symbols of the American flag, and outfitted with a shield that looks like a stubborn decal left over from a model airplane, Captain America has always projected a form of patriotic tackiness that reminds one of overheated Fourth of July picnics, mosquito bites, and stale hot dog buns. Captain America was popular enough to survive the 1940s, however, and remains popular to this day.
Indeed, one must admire Marvel Studios for taking a wet blanket character like Captain America and selling him to audiences as something exciting and dynamic. The version of the character played by Chris Evans has, as of this writing, appeared in nine of the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many now like him again.

After seemingly parting ways with Marvel Studios on bad terms after 2013's Thor: The Dark World, Natalie Portman was absent from the MCU until suiting up as the Mighty Thor in 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder.
While Jane Foster's arc wasn't quite as satisfying as what we saw on the page, Portman kicked serious butt as Thor before ultimately succumbing to her cancer. The door was, however, left open to a possible return after she entered the gates of Valhalla alongside Heimdall.
Talking to Total Film, Portman was asked if she'd be open to returning as the Mighty Thor. "Oh, I have no idea," she started. "I mean, no one's asked me to. So I don't know. But sure, that was super-fun."

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, those looking to further immerse themselves into the superhero world might find watching the films in chronological, or timeline order versus release order helpful.

Marvel Cinematic Universe movies have caught a lot of flack in recent years for the sheer amount of silliness and gags muddling up the various film and TV plots. There's no doubt there are a lot of MCU jokes that haven't aged well, and as the franchise has continued, the quips seem to have become more and more frequent — something that will no doubt reach a fever pitch with the upcoming "Deadpool & Wolverine."
But there was a time when one-liners and wisecracks were used more sparingly and played a crucial role in the success of the MCU. This element of the franchise led directly to the hit that was "Thor: Ragnarok," in which Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige entrusted director Taika Waititi with reinventing Chris Hemsworth's Thor as a more comedic persona. This was due to the Aussie star's penchant for improv, which he'd demonstrated in both "Thor" and its sequel,...

Tom Hiddleston had a great time on the set of the Disney+ series Loki and revealed that he got to work with an amazing crew. Emotionally, Hiddleston is still not over his character as the Greek God of Mischief, but the conclusion of Loki was sort of a significant ending for him. He revealed that the director of the series, Aaron Moorhead, gave him an idea to bring out his best performance in his final scenes.
Tom Hiddleston as the titular character in Loki Season 2 | Disney+
Hiddleston went through his work over the last 15 years, majorly comprising his MCU roles. Moorhead wanted the Thor actor to carry it with him when he stepped in to film his last scene. Surprisingly, the director’s advice worked out well for the actor who was able to give a heartwarming performance in his final scenes in Loki.

The recent second season of Marvel Studios' Loki concluded on a bittersweet note for the fan-favorite God of Mischief.
Though the season finale appeared to give the former villain a pretty definitive ending by allowing him to fulfil his "Glorious Purpose" and claim a throne - even if it wasn't the one he had originally envisioned - but the door was left open (or at least ajar) for him to return down the line.
After deciding to, for all intents and purposes, sacrifice himself by destroying the Temporal Loom and use his magic to gather all the loose timelines together, Loki essentially transformed into a version of Yggdrasil, the World Tree from Norse mythology.
It's implied that "God Loki" must sit here for eternity to ensure that his friends and everyone else can live in peace on the various timelines, but will this be the last we see of the character?...

If one thing Marvel’s God of Mischief is famous for, it’s his inability to die fully. Loki, due to his evil nature, has been imprisoned, captured, banished, and tortured more than you can imagine. He somehow always finds a way to return, or he most likely faked his death in the first place.
This quality has transferred to the MCU as well, as the character was dead, banished, and resurrected more than any other. In his recent interview with Backstage, Tom Hiddleston the actor behind the iconic trickster explained that his death in 2013 ‘Thor: The Dark World’ was supposed to be his real death and the character would no longer appear in the MCU.
Fortunately, Hiddleston did such a good job playing Loki that audiences could not imagine the MCU without him.
As written in the first script, it was a true sacrifice. When Marvel [executives] were testing the movie,...
