Love the softness to this and tones. A simple leaf yet there seems to be so much going on with the light and shadows. Great work Gayle.

How can anything so delicate be, at the same time, so powerful? There were tremors around the world, I'm sure, upon your posting this. And your poem? Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Shakespeare, move over. There's a new talent on the scene and you have been surpassed. (I already have it memorized)

To the photographer and historian formerly known as Mark Julian "Bastrzycki":
> Awww, This one's so sweet and I-know-who-it's-for ..... Paul Read > right ? I know how to read between the lines, let me tell you > (wait till Paul see's this - he's gonna shout with joy)
It would appear that you know me better than one could normally assume for remote Internet-obsessed nutters.
Maybe you are physically much closer to home than I had originally assumed?
You are the bald fat bloke who has just moved in next door, yes?
And keeps removing my monthly satirical magazine from my letterbox?
And keeps asking me for help with wallpapering, but I say no, I am too busy campaigning for reason and understanding. And observing leaf movements.
You are so kind to me, Mark!!
Wonderful Gayle!!! This is a lovely image!! We share a love of leaves!!
Yeah!
Paul

A very pretty, moody shot, Gayle. I really like the colors and tones, and that gauzey feeling that you created. Well done. Kathy

I don't know what is more beautiful, Gayle. The soft spun beauty of the single delicate leaf falling in a gentle swirl which is accentuated by the fine curves of the silky shades of indigo background or the poignant words in your 'about'. Your 'on the fly' here and on your other pieces of work, is truly astonishing, my friend. Simply beautiful!
