You wield your canon like a true artistic artilleryman, Rich! The sharp focus in so shallow a field, is remarkable. The rich, vivid colour and fine detail with effective cropping, makes this the best, bee-on-stamen macro, I've seen to date.

Let me tell you why I think this is a great macro. Firstly you have captured a moving target in a plane where despite the shallow depth of field it is all completely in focus and very sharp. Also the colours are vibrant and appealing and the composition of the bee is good too. Very well done. I know how difficult this photography can "bee" and you have done a splendid job with this one.
