About Here you can see my wife, Hedi, admiring the sculpture of the dancers. I think I took this in the Washington National Gallery of Art, but could be wrong. Any suggestions welcome.

No need to apologize, Drilan. If we are not offending anybody, we should be able to say what we think, without apologies. And what you said made a lot of sense and I would miss your comments, if they are restricted by too much thoughtfulness:)

Mea Culpa.

Dear Drilan, please let us see your version of the dancers. I don't think the name Hedi (comes from Hedwig, je croi Edwige en Francais) is typical Tyrolien. Hedwig is the patron saint from Silesia.
Regarding enhancements of old photographs using PS I have a mental problem to use tools I didn't have in former times. My philosophy therefore is, to leave the old pictures as they are and play only with the new digital ones.

Kind regards, Markus

Just a little bit.

I think this one is great. The light makes the dancers stand out, and the viewer (your wife) is watching the sculpture in the darkness. Well done, Markus!

The watching "man" at the right side is part of the game, my dear Inji, it's my wife Hedi.

Kind regards, Markus and thanks so much for your kind comments. They are always welcome, sooner or later:)

Very nice capture for this beautiful sculpture
dear Markus , I prefer the lighting in your version but cropping the watching man in the right side may be better IMHO.
I am sorry my dear for being so late in viewing
your last beautiful posts , I was much busy last two days .
Have a great day .

I know, what you mean, Margaret. Thanks also, Markus

PS: to your suggestion: I was thinking to lighten it, but found that the figures of the dancers would lose their strength then, so I kept it as it was.

Thanks, Roberto. I can't remember how the whole scenery has been, it's more than ten years ago now. What I do now is to view the old slides and take what I like.

Kind regards, Markus

Hi Markus..
it' s a sin... "zero" comment.. have a nice idea also for the light and the shadows..
is so beautiful, maybe a different choic of cut, in vertical, and with many many light in the up part!??!
that if the light is enter in the statues.. in the play of the light and shadows?!?!
cheers, roby
