Human presence! Yeah, it could be a good idea and most certainly I'd do it except that I was completely alone back then doing a morning hike..

Hello, Lee!

Thank you for your comments.
I am not sure digital is capable to work well with snow texture. I've tried NikonD100, Canon 300D, Canon 20D, Sigma SD10...nothing works the way I'd like. Film is better, if used right.

Wish I could afford medium format telephoto lense but it's way out of my price range. Now, I normally pack 2 cameras in the field: same mount DSLR and SLR with wide angle lens ALWAYS fixed on SLR.

This is very nice Konstantin !
You have a good eye, I like the moguls leading into the well lit and shadowed mountains.
Reading Pats comment I ask....is this possible with digital ? there is a deepness to the snow that I have never captured with my digital.
Excellent shot.

Thank you, Pat!

I'm no digital fan. It's just way cheaper per shot :(

This particular image version has been actually autofixed in PSP8. It's not that bad but I'm not sure if I like it compared to the original. You might have a look at it at my site here:

Ahhh.. I'd like to see a digital do this. The shadows the colors the texture are unmistakably film. The depth of field is also increadable. I only hope that in my lifetime I get a chance to explore and photograph scenes like this! Very impressive!

Wow, this is beautiful, very emotional. It seems very inviting yet threatening at the same time. Congrats!
