Wow...it's been a long time my friend! Thanks for all your comments and critiques Doyle, from the florals to stuffie slave trade to colorful fairies to Christmas morning and, last but not least...the dog/bear "surveillance" stills. Oh, and the AKC rat...LMAO!
Rain?...oh noooooo, what ever DID you do? BTW, your rain made it here this morning, thank you very much. :)
Take care...Robin

Nice. I far prefer it without the selective desaturation though. The angle of the blossom also does not seem as wistful as before . . . (IMGO) . . . I greatly appreciate the idea and the technicals from the layout in this composition are superior I think . . .
Incidentally . . . we are expecting some rain today. Not sure what to do! LoL!

Thank you for the comment Amna. Unfortunately, limited space and lens choice prevented me from getting the whole flower, but you are correct...it would have helped!
Take care...Robin

the selective coloring work very well here.
P.S did you try including the whole flower? I think it will help to enhance the composition

Very attractive selective coloring, I read the comment on the post before this and I agree that this is a better composition. The other difference I notice is with the other photo, I know that it is winter outside, with this selective color and focus, the drama of the flower and the winter is not very evident. Happy new year gramma

Thanks for the detailed critique Paul! No confusion here...I wished there were a little more of the window frame also, but no such luck this time. Always happy to hear constructive criticism, thanks again for stopping by!
Take care...Robin

Excellent shot Robin, the nice color of the flower against the greyscaled background makes a nice composition for me... best wishes for happy new year!

I haden't planned to do any commenting tonight. Just thought Id look around. Haden't been in for awhile and saw this and had to leave you a line or two tell you just how beautiful this image is! Its stunning with your wonderful use of selective coloring process. Love the angle you shot this at first of all that really makes it work so much better here at the final point. Great shallow depth of field which brings out an already sharp flower even more giving it extra pop! The framing and crop could be alittle better.....and using what is there in the window is a good starting point. If you still have the original and it has alittle room over to the right just a tad to inforce alittle more of the window frame as framing for the image, making sure everything is straight and lined up. Now that I have you fully confused! Forget all that stuff and leave it! Its a great image! Well done and thanks for sharing!
