I liek the foreground, but the background looks too fake.

Very nice image and a good informal portrait. I think i agree that the sky, while nice and beautiful, may distract from the overall effect of the capture.

Tony, have only just joined the site, so haven't yet got a feel for the rating system. I like the composition in this - there is lots of depth to the scene, and the foreground interest is compelling - the old man makes for an interesting lead in. My major issue with this image, is the sky appears to me very fake :) In some respects it makes the image quite surreal, but there are too many clues elsewhere within the image, and the join is a little too obvious. Exposure is nicely balanced considering the sun is behind the man, his face has retained good detail. A pleasing image, that isn't quite convincing enough with the sky as it is. Cheers, Simon

Very good capture and effective PS work !! The only disturbing thing to me is the gray flare around the man's head. Otherwise very nice; I like the colours and mood. Regards

I like the casual shot! You look like you may have sharped the image a bit much though, look to the rooftop point. It really stands out. I would have made the man more focused than the background by blurring the building and flash filling the man's face. Overall I think it is good.
