Stuff for my ST to do list:

* STSTCS - more RPG & Tech manuals. Mostly just titles and cover art though.

* Website listing various books to add to our gaming & misc series. Much of the information is incomplete, so I'll have to dig up the information in stages from multiple sources.

* Website for misc books to make sure are in our database.

Added series: (currently with only 1 temp placeholder each)

* Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (TOS)
* Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (Voyager)

Renamed series:

* Star Trek: TNG Starfleet Academy >>> Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (TNG) for consistent sorting with above. I've also removed this from my 'completed' list, since it appears there are more books out there that I missed entering.

* Star Trek: Gaming Supplements & Manuals >>> Star Trek: Reference Manuals & Gaming Supplements

In the Miscellaneous sub-genre, I think I have, or actually my wife has, a copy of Star Trek Chronology: The History of the Future around the house somewhere, if you need anything from it.

Thanks. :)

----------------------

Reorganized the titles in ST: Gaming & Reference area - they no longer match the titles of the books exactly, but it's a lot easier to find stuff now ... which will help, because I'll be adding scads more stuff. I also shuffled some stuff that was was in ST: Misc over to ST: Gaming & Reference.

I added a small flurry of books to the ST: Reference & Gaming area. A bunch of enties are incomplete - I'll try to flesh them out as time permits. A lot of them are long out of print, so it will doubtless take some digging - both in my basement, and on the internet.

We're currently up to 587 books, and I can see us easily passing the 700 mark before too long.

I've renamed & relocated this sub-forum as follows

FROM
Grouping: Unofficial Author Discussion Fora
Sub-fora: Gene Roddenberry & George Lucas

TO
Grouping: Misc Genres
Sub-fora: Star Trek & Star Wars <---- you are now here.

Eventually, as membership and traffic pick up, we can consider splitting Star Trek & Star Wars into separate sub-fora.

I filled in some missing fields for some of the books in ST: Reference & Gaming ... it's starting to look a bit more tidy in there.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (TNG) is now done (remaining 10 books added).

The Star Trek genre has now passed 600 books.

I'm guessing we'll go fairly deep into the 700 range before I'm done.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (Voyager) is now done.

I also combined/removed a redundant series ... an extra copy of "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (TOS)"

I re-used several placeholders for other books, and added 10 more books to ST:TNG series, plus 1 book to ST: Reference Manuals & Gaming.

The current Star Trek tally is 608 books.

Just an oh-by-the-way ... this effort is once again in the middle of a temporary pause. I'm hoping to resume it again soon, as free time & priorities permit.

Just another periodic reminder that life is busy for me ATM, but that I fully intend to return and finish cleaning everything up as soon as time permits.

At the moment, the emphasis is on inter-database link-dev ... once that's completed, I'm hoping to resume this effort.

There will probably be a fair amount of impact to this genre, as many of the series names we used on IBDoF were artifically prefixed with the Words "Star Trek:" followed by the series acronym. Our partner site (IBList) uses different nomemclature in many instances, and Paramount and Amazon have their own proprietary usages as well.

It's going to take a fair amount of work with a hair brush, to get everything straightened out, and somehow standardized. IBList's new WEM capability, as well as their ability to have nested series, will be invaluable.
