Thursday

Look Love.

Apparently, this amazingly fabulous dress is being used as a beach cover-up here. So pretty and feminine and I just adore girly ruffly stuff!

Wednesday

Look love.

I love yellow! Almost as much as I love pink. I love seeing it here featured as a main part of the look. Let's call it "the bumblebee."

Monday

Look Love

Completely effortless, comfortable, and stylish. Love it.

Friday

Gorgeous!

Ok, now admittedly I usually can't get past the jawline on this one (come on, you thought it, too!). But I'm completely fixated on this dress. I love the plummy color and the little jewel buckle. It's feels very reminiscent of another dress in my memory, but I can't quite put my finger on it....something white, a blonde actress wore it. Any help??

This one I was a little uncertain about at first, but I just love the clean white color and the couture feel that the draping at the waistline has. I also liked that the necklace was very unexpected. I nice contrast to the diamonds one would normally see with this look.

I would be happier if I could take away the Marilyn tattoo here, but she is just amazing. The dress is beautiful and she just pulls it off like nobody else. I need to hire this girl's trainer because holy cow. Either that or just stop eating all together.

The best for last. Love her, love the dress. This was one of my faves because it's so pure and clean (like Eva Mendes'), but the gathering at the bust is to-die-for! It's bananas. It reminds me of my wedding bouquet...a big bundle of jumbo calla lily's. I DIE. Bonus points for amazing posing...it's a wonder she didn't tip over with her leg in that position!

Golden GLOBES 2009.

That's right. I said it. Golden GLOBES. Goodness gracious, I've got some pushups to buy.

Backcomb, anyone?

"We're installing low-flow showerheads in all the apartments, Mr. Seinfeld." Did these girls fall victim? I really do like both dresses, though, because this girl loves her some pink! Just maybe a little tease and a spritz of hairspray, ladies. That's all.

Monday

Hairbrush, anyone?

Ok, so I like the girl and she usually looks pretty smashing. Although I've never figured out the permanent pout and squinty stare...honey, you know you didn't pose that way when you were just "completing" Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire, but I digress. I must say that the hair is just straight up looney tunes. Waist up I'm just not sure what's going on, and then waist down it's a gorgeous red carpet dress. Maybe if I squint my eyes it'll look as good as it looks in your mirror.

I love Drew Barrymore, but I seriously thought this whole 80's rocker girl thing was a joke on the paparazzi. The big hair seems very Valley of the Dolls or something. Or maybe she just wanted to look like glam Barbie.

Thursday

Emmy's Roundup: Hits!

This is obviously the best and my favorite part. The hits! It's all love now, baby!

Olivia Wilde: Wow. The wow factor. The sleeves, the bodice, the skirt, the pooling onto the carpet. Love it! Glamour.

Tina Fey: You gotta love when the smart girls are pretty, too! Elegant. Smashing. Gorgeous. Good for you, Tina!

Brooke Shields: Oh. My. Gawd. Pink? Pink?!! LOVE IT! I love HER for doing Barbie the RIGHT way. Perfect pink color, cute sweetheart neckline, beaded, brooched, ruffled, clutched, and curled. Perfect hair! Best dressed!!!

Patrick & Mrs. Dempsey: Totally geek to totally chic. Had to be said. The King and Queen of the carpet. I never understand when they review the best-dressed men, but this look makes me get it. I get it big time! Hot hot hot! Dare I say dapper? I dare--dapper!

America Ferrera: I love her for being such a cutie. You've also gotta love her for playing a character with "ugly" in her title. Cute hair, makeup, necklace, dress. I love the draping on the dress...makes a pretty black dress a fabulous one.

Christina Applegate: I adore that the extra material and embellishment is on the SIDE of the dress and not part of it. Genius. I'm really happy for her that she's pulled through. Stay strong!

Evangeline Lilly: This totally could have been antique drapes/lampshade gone wrong, but Lost's little vixen is working it! She exudes old world glamour.

Kyra Sedgwick: This could have been longer, but so pretty!!! I like the stark white color with the luxurious jeweled detailing...even though the jewels look like they're groping her boobs...either way. :)

Lauren Conrad: This girl gets a gold star for taking a small MTV reality show and riding it to success. I'm obsessed with The Hills even though I know it's not really real. I always admire her perfect hair...does she use magic hairspray? And her skin/makeup are flawless. Apparently this dress is her own design. I do find it a bit reminiscent of Catherine Zeta-Jones' Oscar dress from when she was pregnant, though...at least the skirt part. LC...have you been playing with Brody again? :)

Emmy's Roundup: Meh.

"Meh" is that sound you make when you like something only so-so. You know what I'm talkin' about...meh.

Amanda Walsh: Pretty. Like it. No wow factor. Just meh.

Julia Louis-Dreyfuss: This critique pains me. I worship Elaine. But the orange and the cutout? Meh.

Marcia Cross: I love Bree. The character and the cheese. But the look with that length? Meh.

Heidi Klum: The Runway goddess herself. The cape. That's all. No more. Meh.

Emmy's Roundup: Misses.

I think this year's Emmy's didn't go too much in either direction of Hit or Miss. Here are my picks for Misses:

Jennifer Morrison: She looks a little bit like she just forgot to start getting ready, woke up, and wrapped herself in a sheet to run out the door.

Mary Louise Parker: Love her and love that she looks so smokin after her stupid-face boyfriend Billy Crudup left her pregnant to go run around with Claire Danes. That said, that blue is just not doing it. Would have loved some scarlet red to really rub it in his face.

Eva Longoria-Parker: Love her, love her as Gabrielle, don't love that crazy ass bow. Don't love that multi-layered fringe or whatever it is. Come on lady. I know you can do better.

Cynthia Nixon: Love love love Sex and the City. Love the turqoise color. Love her hair. Love the porcelain skin. Hate the lack of support. Her one boob looks all smashed down like it's gasping for air or something.
