Jalapeno Shepherds Pie

- 3 lbs. extra lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 large onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 8 oz. pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 2 tbsp. minced garlic cloves shopping list
- 6 oz. pkg. frozen peans & carrots shopping list
- 6 tsp. beef bouillon granules shopping list
- ½ tsp. salt shopping list
- ½ tsp. dried thyme shopping list
- Mrs. Dash Original salt Free seasoning to taste shopping list
- ½ tsp. freshly ground pepper shopping list
- onion powder to taste shopping list
- garlic powder to taste shopping list
- 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 cans Rotel tomatoes and chiles shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 2 pkgs. Simply garlic mashed potatoes (found in refrigerated section of grocery store) shopping list
- 8 oz. jalapeno cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground beef, onion, garlic, beef bouillon granules, salt, dried thyme, Mrs. Dash original salt-free seasoning, ground pepper, onion powder and garlic powder in large skilled over medium heat. Cook approximately 15-20 or until onions are cooked. Add all remaining ingredients EXCEPT jalapeno cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. Transfer mixture into a lightly greased 3-qt. baking pan. In separate bowl, mix mashed potatoes with ½ of shredded jalapeno cheese. Spread evenly over meat mixture. Sprinkle remaining shredded jalapeno cheese over potatoes. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
