Asparagus-chicken bake

- 1/2 stick margarine shopping list
- 1can (14ozs.) asparagus pieces shopping list
- 2 cups chopped chicken shopping list
- 1/4 grated cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1pkg. corn muffin mix shopping list
- 1 can (10 3/4 ozs. ) cream of chicken soup shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- 2 tablespoon pimiento shopping list
How to make it
- Melt margarine in an 8 - inch square pan or small round shallow casserole
- Drain asparagus.
- Reserve 1/2 cup liquid
- Arrange asparagus in melted margarine.
- Add chicken.
- Sprinkle with cheese. Prepare muffin mix according to package directions.
- Carefully spoon batter on top of cheese as evenly as possible.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Combine 1/2 cup asparagus liquid with soup and lemon juice.
- Stir until smooth.
- Heat and garnish with chopped pimiento.
- Serve as sauce for casserole.
