Lemon Bread

A light refreshing bread that goes well with a heavy meal. It's also great as a breakfast toast with berries or a dessert topped with lemon or lime sherbert or your favorite ice cream. From Imperial Sugar.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup Imperial sugar Extra Fine Granulated sugar or Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- Grated rind of 2 lemons shopping list
- Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add milk and stir in dry ingredients and rind. Bake in loaf pan at 350ºF for forty-five minutes. shopping list
How to make it
- For Lemon Glaze For Lemon Bread:
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 cup Imperial Sugar Powdered Sugar or Dixie Crystals Powdered Sugar
- Mix the lemon juice and sugar and glaze the bread
