Easy Pumpkin Cookies

This is an easy cookie that is great for fall or anytime you want a yummy warm spicey treat. The frosting has a mapley taste that really completes it.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1 cup pumpkin shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- frosting ingredients: shopping list
- 3 Tbs butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 4 Tbs milk shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Combine sugar and shortening... add pumpkin and egg
- beat well
- Combine flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt
- Add to pumpkin mixture
- Mix well
- Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
- Frosting:
- Heat ingredients to boiling and boil 2 minutes unctil thickened
- Let cool then add enough powdered sugar to make stiff enough to spread on cookies.
- These freeze great too!
