Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

- 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) shopping list
- 3 cups oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) shopping list
- 1 cup raisins shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees
- Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well
- Add combined flour, baking soad, cinnamon and salt; mix well
- Stir in oats and raisins; mix well
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack
- ***Bar Cookies***
- Bake 30-35 minutes in ungreased 13x9 inch metal baking pan
