Stroganoff Superb

round steak in an onion-mushroom-cheese sauce on hot noodles. from my mother.
Ingredients
- 1lb round steak cut into thin strips shopping list
- 2 tb butter shopping list
- 1/2 c. chopped onion (increase to taste, up to 2 small onions) shopping list
- 8 oz mushroom shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 8oz cream cheese shopping list
- 2/3 c. milk shopping list
- 16oz egg noodles shopping list
How to make it
- Brown meat in butter.
- Add onion, mushrooms, and seasonings, cook until tender (and meat is no longer pink).
- Add cream cheese and milk.
- Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until cheese melts.
- Serve over noodles with green vegetable on side.
