Spinach Triangles

- fresh spinach shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 1 cup ricotta cheese shopping list
- 1 onion (chopped) shopping list
- 1tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 9 T. butter (melted) shopping list
- 30 sheets phyllo dough shopping list
How to make it
- In a large frying pan add 2T. Olive oil ( Med-high Heat)
- Add Spinach and stir so it all gets coated in the olive oil
- It will shrink quite a bit but you can add more spinach to it as it shrinks and turns dark green
- *You can use frozen or canned spinach as well but I find fresh cooked has the best flavour and aroma
- Empty cooked spinach into large bowl and add cheese, onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Preheat oven 350 degrees.
- In a large baking pan grease the bottom with the butter.
- Phyllo Dough: Un roll and fit two - three sheets into the bottom of a greased pan.
- Brush it with butter several times
- *I use a plastic knife to cut triangle shapes
- Add mixture of Spinach
- Add each remaining layer of phyllo and brush with butter between each layer.
- Cook 40 -45 min.
- Let cool ,then cut out shapes, and serve.
