Sourdough Steak

- 1 inch thick round steak (about 3 lb) shopping list
- 1 Cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tsp onion salt shopping list
- 2 tsp paprika shopping list
- 1 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 Cup Sourdough Starter shopping list
- 3/4 Cup lard or shortening shopping list
How to make it
- Using a meat tenderizing mallet or knife (or my favorite a 5 lb dumb bell)
- Pound the steak to 1/2 inch thick
- Cut into serving pieces
- Combine flour and seasonings
- Dip in Sourdough starter, then in flour mixture
- Fry in 1-inch of hot fat in a heavy skillet
