Oyster Stew

- 2 pints fresh oysters and their liquid shopping list
- 4 cups whole milk shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- In two separate sauce pans:
- Pan 1: Heat oysters and their liquid for about 5 minutes, until edges of oysters curl.
- Pan 2: Heat milk until very hot (stir often) add butter and onion to milk when hot.
- Combine oysters and liquid with the milk mixture.
- Serve immediately.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Recipe can be halved or doubled.
