Wild Rice and Oyster Casserole

- 1 - 2 ounce container oysters shopping list
- 1 - 6 ounce package wild rice shopping list
- In a pinch you could use the 5 minute quick cook wild rice shopping list
- 1- cup fresh sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 1 - cup diced celery shopping list
- 2- tablespoons melted butter shopping list
- 2- tablespoons flour (all purpose) shopping list
- 1/2 a cup of half and half shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry shopping list
- 2 - tablespoons fine breadcrumbs shopping list
- If you can get fresh oysters shopping list
- 12 cleaned and shucked is the ticket ! shopping list
How to make it
- Drain oysters reserving 1/4 cup of the oyster broth.
- Cook rice according to directions, set aside. Saute mushrooms and celery in butter, add the oysters and cook for 5 minutes, until edges curl up. Add flour, cook flour 1 minute, add the half and half and reserved broth. Stir until smooth. Add wild rice to oyster mixture, stir well to combine. Put mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs
- Bake 350 degree oven for 30 minutes
