great cornbread stuffing

- 4 cups breadcrumbs {Cornbread} shopping list
- 1/2 to 3/4 pound pork sausage shopping list
- 5 Tbs. butter shopping list
- 1 onion diced shopping list
- 2 cups celery{about 4 branches}diced shopping list
- 1 tsp. dried thyme shopping list
- 2 Tbs. dried parsely shopping list
- dash cayenne pepper{A must for me{Can omit} shopping list
- 1 Tbs. paprika shopping list
- 1/3 cup chicken stock or water. shopping list
- 1 egg beaten slightly shopping list
How to make it
- Crumble cornbread into fairly fine crumbs. In skillet over medium heat fry sausage{I use Jimmy Deans MILD} breaking up into litlle peices pour off excess fat remove sausage to bowl and melt butter in pan add onion celery thyme parsely cayenne pepper paprika and cooked covered untill veggies are softened about 5 minutes stir often mix with sausage and cornbread crumbs Stir 1/4 stock into egg and blend in mixture add more stock if necessary to acheive the moistness consistency Stuffing should hold together when pressed lightly Season to taste Yeilds 8 cups enough to stuff a {12 pound Bird} with some to spare{Any left over stuffing spread around the bird to cook {Waste not want not} lol. Enjoy
