How to make it

  • Stir over low heat until thickens, cool to room temperature.
  • Line a 9 inch pie pan with vanilla wafers.
  • Spoon 1/2 of quart vanilla ice cream in pie pan, then chocolate mixture and repeat.
  • Top with pecans and freeze 3 to 5 hours or nice to fix ahead for the freezer.
  • Serves 8.
