using a smoker

- you don't have to have a $200.00 smoker shopping list
- a cheap one works just as good shopping list
- i have a brinkman. shopping list
- it looks like R2D2........... shopping list
- [1] use a bag of charcoal brikets, that you lite the bag shopping list
- heres a tip buy a grill lighter,the long kind, they cost about 3 bucks shopping list
- put the charcoal on the bottom bowl shopping list
- [2] above that is another bowl, fill with water shopping list
- [3] above that is the rack , put a whole chicken on it shopping list
- [4] close the lid shopping list
How to make it
- you should have a thermastate on the smoker
- 250 degrees is just right. you can adjust the heat by open or close the the air vents.
- buy a bag of hickory chips, next to the charcoal, in the store
- soak your chips in water 3-4 hrrs. whan your charcoal gets going good, mput a handfull of chips in there. keep an eye on the water
- dont let it run out. a good long funnel is good for this
- smoke that chicken for 2 1/2 hrs 3 hrs you usually get a times to cook book with the smoker.
- tips before cooking rub the bird with seasonings. inside and out
- and look at my recipes, for bacon wrap jalapinos. if you don't like a lot of hot spices, leave the jalapino seeeds out
