Sweet potato clam chowder

- 12 sweet potatoes shopping list
- 1 pint heavy cream shopping list
- 64 ounces can clams with juice shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 2 cups chopped onion shopping list
- 2 cups chopped celary shopping list
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Bake sweet potatoes, wrapped in foil, in a 375 degree oven for about 90 minutes or until potatoes are cooked through let cool put potatoes through a ricer, this will remove the stringy fibers in the potato, if you don't mind the stringy stuff then just mash the potatoes
- in a fry pan cook the onions,and celery in butter until soft, add garlic and cook just a little longer
- put potatoes, onion mixture,cream, and clams with juice into a soup pot
- add salt and pepper to your likeing heat soup and enjoy
