Black Bean And Cous Cous Salad

- 1 cup cooked whole wheat cous cous - prepared according to package directions shopping list
- 1 can black beans- rinsed shopping list
- 1/4 of a red onion - chopped shopping list
- 1/2 large carrot - chopped shopping list
- 1 fresh jalapeno - membrane and seeds removed, minced shopping list
- cilantro (coriander) about 1/4 cup- roughly chopped shopping list
- juice of one lime shopping list
- 1/4 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 1 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1/4 tsp onion salt shopping list
- salt-just a sprinkle shopping list
- * all spices are to taste- use more or less according to your personal preference shopping list
How to make it
- Toss beans, onions, carrot, jalapeno and cilantro in a medium sized bowl.
- Add cous cous, lime juice and toss well.
- Begin adding spices, tasting as you go to be sure you have it adjusted according to your taste.
