Teriyaki Chicken Wings

- 2 dozen chicken wings or drums, rinsed and patted dry shopping list
- kosher salt shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- 1 Tbs sesame seeds, lightly toasted shopping list
- cilantro or parsley leaves (opt) shopping list
- 1 cup low sodium soy sauce shopping list
- 1 cup grapefruit juice (I use fresh..or sometimes fresh OJ)) shopping list
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 3 Tbs rice wine vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 5 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 tsp ground ginger shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Lay wings or drums in single layer on baking sheet
- Bake for 30 minutes, until cooked through.
- Meanwhile combine teriyaki sauce ingredients in saucepan. (soy sauce through ginger)
- Simmer over low heat and reduce until slightly thickened.
- Pour sauce in large bowl
- Once cooked, dump chicken into sauce and coat.
- Transfer to plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds & parsley
