Apple-oat Breakfast Treats

- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, Softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats shopping list
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1 t 1-1/4 cups apple pie filling shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.
- Ad the eggs and vanilla.
- Combine dry ingredients; add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 6-in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Flatten into 3-inch circles.
- Make a slight indention in the center of each; top with a rounded tablespoonful of pie filling.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- Cool for 5 minutes; remove to with racks to cool completely.
- Yield: 10 servings.
