- 6 roma tomatoes. shopping list
- ½ green pepper shopping list
- 1 stalk celery shopping list
- 6 scallions with some of the green part. shopping list
- one carrot shopping list
- fresh cilantro shopping list
- 1/3 can tomato paste (the small 6-oz. Can) freeze the rest in the shopping list
- can for your next salsa) shopping list
- 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies, mild. shopping list
- do not drain. shopping list
- 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar. shopping list
- juice of ½ lime. shopping list
- ½ teaspoon crushed garlic (the kind in the jar) shopping list
- 2 teaspoons light olive oil. shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sugar. shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt. shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon pepper. shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon oregano. shopping list
- 4-5 shakes Tabasco. (red bottle) shopping list
- for serving: 1 bottle of the green Tabasco, for individual preference. shopping list

How to make it
- In Cuisinart, chop the tomatoes, put in a bowl.
- Then chop the green pepper, celery & scallions.
- Shred the carrot.
- Hand-chop some fresh cilantro, making finely chopped about 1/3 cup.
- (ok to use some of the stems,,)
- Combine the vegetables all in one bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine the tomato paste, green chilies, vinegar, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano and Tabasco.
- Mix all together well.
- Chill well and serve with the extra bottle of green Tabasco for those who may like a sprinkle of more "heat".
