Scallops in Maple cream

- 1 1/2 lbs fresh sea scallops shopping list
- 2 Tbs olive oil shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated nutmeg shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup ( also did this with sugarfree maple flavored syrup for a diabetic relative ) shopping list
- coarse salt shopping list
- fresh cracked pepper shopping list
- 2 Tbs fresh chopped dill shopping list
- Fresh cooked angel hair pasta shopping list
How to make it
- Mix cream and syrup.
- Bring to a boil and lower heat and simmer until reduced almost by half.
- Add nutmeg, mustard, salt and pepper.
- Stir and remove from heat.
- Get olive oil good and hot in pan and sear scallops on both sides .
- Cook and stir till tender being careful not to overcook., really only a few minutes oon each side
- Pour sauce over scallops and dust with chopped dill.
- I served these atop cooked pasta.
