How to make it

  • Saute onion and carrot in oil over medium heat for 3 minutes, then add garlic and continue to cook 2 more minutes.
  • Stir in chicken broth, then add potatoes and corn, simmering for 15 minutes.
  • Add seafood seasoning and salt, then stir in cream. Heat through at a low simmer about 5 min.
  • Add crab and shrimp. Simmer about 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.

    I use crabmeat (not in the shell) and I've never tried it with tomato sauce. Ifeel that tomato in seafood soups takes away from the seafood flavor but that's just my personal preference.
