Mississippi Mud Cake

- 1/3 Cup of cocoa shopping list
- 1 1/2 Cups of flour shopping list
- 2 Cups of sugar shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 2 sticks of butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans shopping list
- Icing: shopping list
- 1 bag of mini marshmallows shopping list
- 1 box confectioners' sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup of cocoa shopping list
- 1 stick of butter shopping list
- 1/3 cup of milk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Mix together cocoa, flour, sugar, and salt (set aside)
- In mixing bowl cream together butter, eggs, then add vanilla, and pecans
- blend flour mixture with butter mixture by hand until completely mixed.
- pour batter into a greased casserole dish.
- bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
- remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows over the top.
- return cake to oven for another 10 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted.
- remove and cool.
- While cake cools
- cream 1 box of confectioner's sugar, 1/3 cup of cocoa, 1 stick of butter, and 1/3 cup of milk until frosting is creamy.
- Spread over cooled cake
- cut into squares and serve.
