Wholesome Vegetable Soup

- cabbage. 200g shopping list
- carrots. 300g shopping list
- celery. 2 sticks shopping list
- Chopped tin toms. 2 shopping list
- garlic crushed. 4 shopping list
- leeks. 1 shopping list
- onions. 2 shopping list
- potatoes. 750g shopping list
- spring onions full stalk. 1 bunch shopping list
- swede. 200g shopping list
- Tom puree. 4 table spoons shopping list
- herbs / sauce shopping list
- bouquet garni. 1 shopping list
- celery salt. ½ t spoon shopping list
- chicken stock cube. 1 shopping list
- coriander ground. ½ t spoon shopping list
- cumin ground. ½ t spoon shopping list
- ginger ground. ½ t spoon shopping list
- Horse radish. 1 table spoon shopping list
- mustard powder. 1 t spoon shopping list
- red wine. 300ml shopping list
- salt / pepper. ½ t spoon each to taste shopping list
- sugar. 3 t spoons shopping list
- Tabasco. 3 drops shopping list
- water. 3 pints shopping list
- Worcester sauce. Desert spoon shopping list
How to make it
- Peel & wash veg, slice carrots thick as 50ps, slice cabbage & cut into short strips, slice leeks into 10mm rings. Chop spring onions up rough, slice celery 1 course 1 fine, chop onions, potatoes, swede small. Add a little oil to large pan heat up & add veg so all is coated. In a jug add 1pt water, stock cube, tom puree, garlic, red wine, Worcester sauce, tabasco, mustard, celery salt, horse radish, & sugar. Mix add another pint water now pour over veg in pan. Now add bouquet garni tin toms & last pint of water, salt & pepper to taste. Cook & stir until tender yet still crunchy.
