Wine soaked peaches and ice cream

- 1 1/2 cups red wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cinnamon stick shopping list
- 2 or 3 whole peppercorns shopping list
- 1 or 2 strips of lemon zest shopping list
- 2 large peaches, halved, and pitted shopping list
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream shopping list
- 2 mint leaves (optional) shopping list
- handful corn flakes (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine wine, sugar, cinnamon, peppercorns, and zest in a sauce pot and reduce to med-high heat to a syrup 12-15 min. stirring as to not burn
- Remove all whole ingrediants from pot with a slotted spoon, or pour into a bowl through a collander, and return to pot..
- Discard whole ingrediants.
- Add peach halves and turn to coat with the sauce.
- Serve over ice cream.
- I like crunch to anything I eat, so I crumble corn flakes over the top!
- place a mint leaf on each for garnish, and you will be in ice cream heaven!!
