Red Pepper and Garlic Hummus

- 3 cups cooked chick peas shopping list
- 2 roasted red peppers shopping list
- 3 cloves roasted garlic, smashed shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt or 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt. shopping list
- 1/2 cup tahini shopping list
- 1 lemons worth of juice shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons water shopping list
- 4 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- 1/8 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon parsley shopping list
- 1/4 tsp sweet paprika shopping list
- 1/3 tsp crushed red pepper. shopping list
How to make it
- Put all ingredients in the food processor and process for about 60 seconds or until it's at the desired consistency.
- If you want to mix it up a bit, substitute 1 of the 4 tablespoons of olive oil with toasted sesame oil.
- Tahini is like peanut butter but made with seasame seeds. I have found it in grocery stores in the same isle as peanut butter but not in the same area. I also found it at our co-op.
