From kazeryuujin 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 bag of frozen cranberries shopping list
- 3 large apples sliced (any variety, or try substituting one pear) shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 cups plain dry oatmeal (not instant) shopping list
- 2/3 cup a.p. flour shopping list
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. each: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, ground cloves shopping list
- 1 stick butter, melted shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Slice your fruit thinly and mix with cranberries and sugar, spread into a 13"x9" baking pan
- In a bowl mix the oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, and spices together, do not worry if brown sugar is a little lumpy. Mix in the melted butter until everything is sticky
- Spread oatmeal mix overtop of fruits. Suggestion: ujsing a fork to crumble the mix and gradually shaking it over the fruit will get a more even layer, and fewer sticky fingers. Use a large spoon or your butter wrapper to press the top lightly afterwards, to help it all stick together again
- bake 45 minutes, until fruit juices are bubling. serve warm with ice cream (vanilla is good, butter pecan is better!) or chilled anytime for a snack.
