Strawberry Cake

This is a great twist on a traditional strawberry cake. It's great and easy to make!
Ingredients
- For Cake: shopping list
- white cake mix shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 1 small box strawberry jello shopping list
- 1 cup thawed drained strawberries shopping list
- For Frosting: shopping list
- 1 box confectioners sugar shopping list
- 3/4 stick margarine shopping list
- juice from strawberries (to thin icing) shopping list
- 5-6 strawberries shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients for the cake. I use about 11 or 12 good size strawberries.
- Cut the strawberries in small pieces.
- Bake in a well greased 9*13 pan for 30-35 minutes.
- While the cake is still hot, poke holes in the cake and pour some of the strawberry juice over it.
- To mix icing:
- Soften margarine in the microwave.
- Add to sugar, and mix at medium-high speed with a hand mixer.
- Gradually add some of the strawberry juice until you get the right icing consistency.
- Mash up about 5 or 6 strawberries and add this to the icing, then mix well.
- Ice cake and enjoy!!!
