Manhattan Clam Chowder In Slow Cooker

- 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled shopping list
- 1 cup uncooked potatoes, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup uncooked celery, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup uncooked onions, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup parboiled carrots, chopped shopping list
- 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 1 or 1-1/2 large cans V-8 juice shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 teaspoon thyme shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 4 cans minced or chopped clams, including juice shopping list
How to make it
- Add all ingredients to slow cooker. Stir. Cook 8 hours on low, or until vegetables are done. You can spice this up by using Spicy V-8 or by adding some hot sauce.
