How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Lightly grease 8 large muffin cups.
  • Soften margarine.
  • Blend in sugar and salt.
  • Add dry ingredients and blend with pastry cutter until crumbly.
  • Mix in oats.
  • Blend milk and syrup together and pour over dry ingredients stirring only until just combined.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Combine butter, sugar and maple syrup together.
  • Cool muffins slightly and spread glaze over tops.
