Must try autumn sausage dinner

- 8 pork sausage links shopping list
- 3 large golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and each cut into 6 wedges shopping list
- 1 pound kielbasa shopping list
- 6 ounces miniature smoke-flavored sausage links shopping list
- 4 knockwurst sausages, about 1/2 pound shopping list
- 1-2 pound head of cabbage, cut into wedges shopping list
- prepared mustard shopping list
- horseradish shopping list
How to make it
- Pour water into a wide frying pan to about 1/4-inch thick.
- Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Add pork sausage links, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Drain and discard liquid.
- Continue cooking sausages, uncovered, over medium heat until partially browned.
- Add apple wedges and cook until apples are browned and fork-tender, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and keep warm.
- Fill an 8-quart kettle half-way with water.
- Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Add kielbasa, smoke-flavored sausages and knockwurst.
- cover and return to a boil.
- Add cabbage wedges, pushing them down into the liquid.
- Bring to a boil again and cook, uncovered, for 3-5 minutes.
- Lift out cabbage and sausages and drain well.
- Arrange cabbage, all the sausages and apples onto a serving platter.
- Accompany with mustard and horseradish.
